July 31 2010 we attended a wedding in Washago. There were 140 guests invited.
The bbq staff arrived at 10:00 am for the set up. At 3:30 the guests started arriving and at 4:00 the wedding ceremony began. By 4:30 the hors d'oeuvres began to circulate on trays served by the bbq staff or the guest had the option of serving themselves. There was also a champagne toast, partial bar service and of course pictures.

The appetizers were barbecued sausage chunks with red peppers on a bed of Romaine lettuce, a French stick with bruschetta topping, California rolls, Sushi, mushroom caps stuffed with crab meat & spices, mini pork riblets in hoisin sauce, hollowed pumpernickels with garlic spinach dip, jumbo shrimp with tangy seafood sauce, spanakopita, phylo triangles filled with spinach & cheese. Around 6:15 everyone was called to dinner. The bar closed but there was a wine service for the guests.

The dinner was spectacular. We had choices of barbecued New York strip steak, kebobs of butterfly shrimp, a vegetable stir fry, barbecued chicken that had been marinated 24 hours in our own recipe, cheese cannelloni(for vegetarians),German style potatoes with bacon, onion & spices, grilled stuffed tomatoes. There were three different salads as well, Caesar salad, Greek salad and strawberry spinach salad. Dinner rolls with unsalted butter were available as well.

At approximately 7:45, after dinner was cleared away, and before the speeches started, desert was available buffet style. The main attraction was the beautiful wedding cake, also available to the guests was a lovely display of assorted fruit including chocolate dipped strawberries, Belgian waffles topped with blueberries, strawberries & freshly whipped cream, coffee, tea.

The bar reopened at 8:15 and there was after dinner music. A late evening and sweet table, and other snacks were available at 11:30. The festivities came to an end around 12:30, the guest started departing and the clean up began. It was a beautiful wedding, the weather cooperated and a great day was had by all.

A Thank you note

Gary, Well you said it would be a great day, it wasn't, it was absolutely perfect! Thank you for all your help in making our special day into our dream.

We have had so many people tell us that this was one of the best, if not THE best wedding they had been to.

The champagne after the ceremony was a great touch. The food was fantastic and your staff was wonderful.

We would (and have already) recommend you to everyone.

Thanks again for everything.
Heather and Ed
