Luther Marsh: One of the largest wetland
areas in southern Ontario. Contains bogs, fens, marshes and
swamps that are home to a wide range of waterfowl and other
wildlife.
Earl Haig Family Fun Park: 600 lazy river
rides, Water slide, leisure pool, wading pool, miniature golf
course, batting cages, 1/2 mile go-kart track, picnic area,
children's playground, concession and snack bar
Belwood Lake: Hampton Barn will seat
approximately 100 inside but there is room for 1,000 or more in the
vicinity. On the lake, providing boating and water-skiing.
Mohawk Park: 7 covered picnic shelters,
sprinklemania, award winning accessible play space, food concession,
3 set of outdoor washroom facilities, hall with 200 person capacity,
kitchen, bar, and licensed outdoor patio, 226 parking spaces
throughout the park
Elora Gorge: Large pavilion with kitchen
and washroom facilities which will seat approximately 400 with an
additional outside area. One of the most beautiful scenic
wonders, offering waterfalls and caves.
Gonestogo Lake: can accommodate a number
of very large groups simultaneously. Beach, swimming, fishing,
hiking, no running water washrooms.
Guelph Lake: The Island area - large
pavilion which will seat 200+ people plus an open area for 5,000+.
The conservation area contains two beaches and 100 serviced and 250
unserviced campsites.
Rockwood: Towering limestone cliffs,
caves, and large glacial potholes. Activities include hiking
trails and canoeing.
Laurel Creek: In waterloo and has outdoor
areas for 1 - 2 thousand people. Swimming, windsurfing and
group picnicking.
Shade's Mills: Has space for open air
events for 500 to 1,000 people. Popular for family and
corporate picnics and swimming.
Pinehurst Lake: A 23 acre spring-fed kettle
lake. Activities include canoeing, paddle boats and nature
trails.
Brant Conservation Area: Outdoor
facilities, parking available at the Civic Center
Byng Island: Situated at Dunnville, a
tributary of the Grand River, has a large pavilion for 100 -
150 people and open areas for 1 - 2 thousand people.
Lions Park Complex: Auditorium with stage
and kitchen, Arena, 3 softball diamonds, 2 soccer/football fields,
running track
Long Beach Conservation Area - beautiful sandy
beach on Lake Erie, well equipped for crowds up to 1000)
Westfield
Pioneer Village - halfway between Cambridge
& Hamilton, gorgeous for weddings, an authentic re-creation of
the Pioneer Village with 19th century church.
Valens: A 23 acre spring-fed kettle lake.
Activities include canoeing, paddle boats and nature trails.
