Dream Weddings: Outdoor elegance, family, friends and, of course, magnificent food make the perfect wedding day. BBQ Catering will gladly help make your Toronto dream wedding a reality -- tell us about your wedding plans. A wedding should reflect the style and taste of the couple whose love it honours. Which type of wedding suits your style? The Magic Wedding Many brides are drawn to the romance of a wedding canopy glowing with twinkling lights, sparkling silver, shimmering candles and the sun setting through the trees. Whether at BBQ Catering's magnificent new wedding pavilion at the Hamilton Thistle Club or at one the many waterfront venues from Oakville to Mississauga and Toronto, the effect is completely irresistible and absolutely stunning. Imagine a giant cognac flambe in our 11-foot frying pan, visible from all points of guest seating: four feet of fire (outside the tent, of course) draw forth the aahs and applause. The menu of kebobs of chicken, lamb, salmon & shrimp, decorated with colorful vegetables and served over rice or Parisian potatoes combine elegance, informality & fun for your outdoor wedding. Let your guests stroll in the orchards while you have a horsedrawn carriage ride. BBQ Catering's magical weddings float in the forest. The Reverse Wedding Enjoy the reception before the ceremony. Greeting guests as they arrive, acting as host and hostess during lunch and going with a group to the ceremony rather than alone is a relaxing way to approach the big event. Less structured and formal than the traditional format, a reverse wedding works especially well for mid afternoon celebrations. Picture it in a lakeside park in full sunshine. BBQ Catering's reverse weddings strengthen and support a couple's new beginning. The Cocktail Party Wedding A couple slips away to the Caribbean for a winter holiday and wedding ceremony. Upon their return they wish to celebrate with friends and family. A cocktail party reception is perfect. Imagine elaborately decorated food displays of hot and cold hors d'oeuvres followed by wedding cake and mountains of fruit. Illuminated ice sculptures add the "wow" factor. And spiced apple cider instead of fruit punch is perfect in colder weather. BBQ Catering's cocktail party weddings capture a mood of elegant informality. The Thistle Club Wedding With its on site chapel & minister, photo garden, unlimited free parking, and seating for 450, the Thistle Club in the stately Durand Park area of Hamilton offers the complete wedding package in one venue. Receiving line & cocktail party areas are separate from the main reception area, and other lounges for smoking are available. BBQ Catering's Thistle Club weddings provide a comprehensive approach to your traditional day. Toronto offers a confusing array of outdoor wedding venues. A growing trend to combine elegance, tradition, informality & fun meet in the outdoor wedding. A wedding on the Oakville waterfront showcases natural wonder - no indoor wedding site has the potential to be so creative at such low cost. Every guest at your wedding will wish that they had had been married there as well. If you're looking for an Oakville wedding hall, don't be shy about asking questions or discussing price. Be aware that catering extras can really mount up. Rental charges for tables, chairs, plates, cutlery etc. can double the base menu cost. At BBQ, we believe these costs should be reasonable, if not modest. We believe in value and delivering more for your money. Be sure to contact us for help with your wedding planning budget.
The Benares Museum, located on Clarkson Road south of the QEW, is operated by the City of Mississauga. Charming, well provided with services, very pretty for tented weddings. Lakeview Golf Course is also operated by the City of Mississauga and located on Dixie Road, south of the QEW. This very pretty site is more readily available for weddings during the cold weather months. The Bradley Museum is similar to Benares in both location and features. Also operated by the City of Mississauga, very pretty If you're looking into Mississauga wedding halls, don't be shy about discussing price. Be aware that catering "extras" can really mount up. For example, BBQ Catering does not charge or collect gratuities or service charges. By definition, gratuities are a spontaneous recognition of excellent food and service. Charging for these items in advance robs the client of both value and the opportunity to express appreciation. By the way, a 15 percent saving.
