Enjoy the reception before the ceremony. If your guests are driving from any great distance, there is always the stress to arrive on time.  The reverse wedding puts both bride and guests at ease by allowing plenty of time for a relaxed arrival schedule. 

Even if some guests are running late, they will arrive during lunch, rather than miss the wedding ceremony.  We have seen that brides, in particular, are more relaxed during a reverse wedding. Greeting guests as they arrive, acting as hostess during lunch, and going with a group to the ceremony rather than alone, both strengthen and support a young bride.

The reverse wedding, less structured and formal than the traditional format, works especially well for mid afternoon reception/ceremony. Picture it in a lakeside park in full sunshine.
